Getting Started
You do not need every detail figured out before contacting me. A destination idea—or even “somewhere warm”—is enough to begin.
Iron City Travel provides personalized vacation planning that may include cruises, Disney and other theme-park vacations, all-inclusive resorts, hotels, flights, rental cars, transportation, tours, activities, group travel, business travel, and custom domestic or international itineraries.
Primary areas include Disney destinations, Caribbean cruises and resorts, family vacations, U.S. destinations, theme parks, group travel, and custom trips. If your destination is outside those areas, ask anyway—I can determine whether it is a good fit or point you in the right direction.
No. Start with your travelers, approximate dates, comfortable budget, departure city, and the kind of vacation you want. Part of my job is helping narrow the choices into realistic options.
Complete the Start Planning form with the basic trip details. I will review the request, follow up using your preferred contact method, ask any necessary questions, and explain the next steps before research and proposals begin.
Earlier is usually better, especially for cruises, Disney vacations, holiday travel, international trips, large families, and groups. Six to twelve months is common for major vacations, while some trips can be planned on a shorter timeline when availability allows.
No. Iron City Travel is based in the Birmingham, Alabama area and works with travelers locally and beyond through phone, email, text, and online planning tools.
Pricing & Booking
Prices, deposits, and payment rules depend on the supplier and the vacation. The important part is knowing the terms before you commit.
Many vacation bookings are compensated by the travel supplier. Some trips may require a planning, research, change, or professional service fee because of their complexity or the work involved. Any applicable fee will be explained before paid planning work begins.
Supplier pricing is often the same as the publicly available price at the time of the quote. The added value is personalized comparison, organization, guidance, and having one person familiar with the overall trip. Prices and promotions can change until the reservation and required deposit are confirmed.
Many cruises, resorts, vacation packages, and tour operators allow a deposit followed by a final-payment deadline. The required amount and schedule are set by the supplier and vary by trip. Flights and certain rates may require full payment when booked.
A quote is not a reservation. Pricing, availability, promotions, room categories, cabins, and airfare can change until the supplier confirms the booking and receives any required payment or deposit.
Sometimes. Planning may cover a complete vacation or selected components such as a cruise, resort, hotel, flight, rental car, transfer, tour, or activity. The best approach depends on the destination, supplier rules, and what support you need.
Changes & Protection
Travel has moving parts. Supplier rules and good communication matter when dates, travelers, or circumstances change.
Contact me before making changes directly with the supplier whenever possible. Change and cancellation options depend on the supplier's terms, the rate booked, timing, and whether travel protection applies. Penalties or nonrefundable amounts may apply.
Travel protection options can be offered when available and are strongly worth considering. Coverage, exclusions, pre-existing-condition rules, purchase deadlines, and claim decisions are controlled by the insurance provider, so travelers should review the plan documents carefully.
No. Iron City Travel can provide access to available coverage information, but the insurance company determines whether a claim qualifies under the purchased policy.
I will help explain the notice and available options based on the supplier's rules. Final decisions about schedules, credits, refunds, replacements, and compensation remain with the supplier.
You will receive important supplier and emergency contact information for the trip. Contact me when help is needed, and I will assist where reasonably possible. For immediate safety, medical, airline, cruise, or hotel emergencies, use the appropriate local or supplier emergency channel first.
If a new promotion becomes available and the reservation is eligible for modification, I can review the options. Suppliers may restrict changes, require repricing, remove existing benefits, or exclude certain reservations, so a lower price cannot be guaranteed.
Vacation Types
From a family cruise to a custom international itinerary, the planning starts with the people taking the trip.

Yes. I can help compare all-inclusive resorts based on destination, beach, dining, atmosphere, traveler ages, room needs, activities, flights, transfers, and budget. What “all-inclusive” covers varies by resort, so inclusions are reviewed before booking.

Yes, when the destination and request are a good fit. Custom planning may combine flights, hotels, transportation, tours, activities, and multiple destinations. More complex itineraries may require additional research time or a planning fee disclosed in advance.
Yes. Iron City Travel can assist solo travelers and business travelers with suitable hotels, flights, rental cars, transportation, tours, and trip logistics based on the request.
Traveler Support
Good planning also means knowing who is responsible for documents, deadlines, special requests, and communication.
Email and phone are the primary communication methods, with text or online planning tools used when appropriate. Your preferred contact method can be selected when you submit the Start Planning form.
Each traveler is responsible for having the correct identification, passport, visa, health documentation, and entry requirements for the trip. I can point you toward official resources, but travelers should verify current requirements with the appropriate government authorities before departure.
Share those needs as early as possible. I can help identify and request suitable options from suppliers, but special requests remain subject to supplier confirmation and cannot be guaranteed unless confirmed in writing.
Yes. Depending on the trip, you may receive confirmation details, important deadlines, supplier documents, check-in information, and planning reminders. Travelers should review all documents promptly and report any name or reservation errors immediately.
